How to join the British Army

If you are a Fiji, Kiribati, Nauru, Tonga, Tuvalu or Vanuatu national and wish to join the British Army, you should write to the Armed Forces Careers Office whose contact details are as follows:

Once you have registered your interest, they will send you an application pack which you must complete in every aspect.

If your application meets the initial eligibility criteria, the Careers Office will write to you direct and advise what you should do next.

Please be aware that your application will not be accepted if you travel to the UK to apply. Applications will only be considered if you apply from your country of nationality.

The British Army Support Officer and their Assistant are available to support dependants and family members with welfare issues. Dependants or family members should produce the service person's details (if known) - Service Number, Rank, Name and Unit.

 

Opening Hours:

  • Potential Recruits: 1000 - 1100hrs (Monday and Thursday) 
  • Welfare Matters & General Enquiries: 1000 - 1500hrs (Monday to Thursday) 
  • Emergency Only: 0800 - 1300hrs (Friday) 
  • Collection of Police Clearance: 1500hrs only (Tuesday and Thursday)
